Today I finished up my personal website (shameless plug, it's www.JoshFFuller.com) and I took a good hard look at my professional profiles. I came to the resounding conclusion that, in my attempt to be prim and proper, I stifled my personality and created a boring hunk of text.
Though placement of keywords, and using words that come off as intellectual is clearly important, I have come to the conclusion that personality is what will make the difference. When I meet someone, I don't wow them with my ability to be on par with every other person in the room, I let me personality shine and see if we are compatible. I have every intention of doing the same through my networking resources as well.
